I wonder if John Lynch is talking to Rodgers privately saying how much he would love to have him on the 49ers with that stacked team. Or really any outside coaches/GMs that could influence Rodgers decision.

Lynch and Shanahan gave up 3 first round picks to get Trey Lance. Do you really think they are going to give up on the kid after just 1 season where he only started two games?

For that matter, even if they wanted to go all in on Rogers...they gave up 3 first round picks for Lance, so they don't have the ammunition get Rogers anyway.

The team to watch out for a trade to Rogers is going to be Denver. There was talk of them making that trade last year. They are clearly unsettled and have no real long term commitment/solution at qb. And they just hired Hackett to be the head coach so there will be familiarity with the coach and offense. It's not a given by any means, but there are a lot of bread crumbs leading a path for Rogers to Denver should the decision be made by Green Bay to trade him.

Kyler looks like a bitch here
Yeah, he played like shit against the Rams who by the time they played Arizona the 3rd time pretty much made it so that Murry wasn’t going to beat them and the succeeded….the time to say something would have been after you lost to the Lions

Right, but there is word that Tom Brady is waiting for TB to pick up a veteran QB to roll with him, then unretire and force TB to release him - then he could join 49ers.

Basically, pull a Favre and force their hand. And TB ain't gonna trade him to a shitty team - that'd be a bad look.

Would San Fran trade Trey Lance for him? Would they trade Trey Lance, B.Ayuik and a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Rodgers and D.Adams?

This is how Green Bay can really luck out. They get a team to trade a young QB with promise for Rodgers who only has a couple years left being elite anyway. Then that player turns into a star and we repeat the last 15 years again.

Packers willing to make Rodgers highest paid QB and create cap space. Good luck with that. Rodgers might end up being the next Bobby Bonilla being on the Packers’ cap for 20 years after he retires.

Raiders are stupid if they do that, Carr is mediocre
I would not give ANY QB that type of contract unless they are the elite of the elite. IMO, with the way these QB contracts are going through the roof, you either pay for that type of QB, or let even good QBs walk, draft one again, and sign a cheaper vet to fill in. Worst case scenario is to pay top dollar for decent talent, which ensures you won’t be able to afford the complimentary pieces that type of QB needs.
