I’ve watched that several times now. Yeah it was early but the ball was half way there when I heard it. There’s no way IMO it affected anything.

It didn't, but that's the rule and they clearly didn't apply it.
By rule the play was dead and that TD shouldn't have counted. Of course, if that happened there would be the same amount of pissed off people. They should really just focus on stopping making so many terrible calls to begin with.
