@Pegger @NCIggles

Thoughts? Are you happy because the Eagles have a better shot at winning NFCE this year or sad because Jason Garrett is probably getting fired?

Maybe watch some Patriots football..If they are up, BB is trying to score well into the 4th quarter..He doesnt take his foot off the gas
You complained about the Cowboys scoring late, as if that mattered. Now you've changed it to the Bears not trying to score which is utterly ridiculous, as they scored after the 'Boys cut the lead once, were stopped only due to dropped pass - a PASS - on another drive, and drove the ball well and picked up a first down with a pass on another. Are you pretending they just ran it into the line three times and punted ? Because that simply DID NOT HAPPEN in this game.

So you changed the topic, and were completely off base then as well!!

Gamblers need to worry about the final point spread. Head coaches don't. You don't gamble giving up quick scores because you're hell bent on winning by two scores instead of one. You make the opponent use all the available time to score, which is exactly what the Bars did.

The game was a W. If they win by 10 it counts as one W.

Last 10 points were unnecessary... The only thing it accomplished was to allow Dallas to score...if the Bears had played like they did earlier, Dallas probably doesnt score

You simply don't understand football.

Let me guess, the Bears should have been blitzing? Gambling?

Up three scores the thing the D needs to make sure of is to not give big plays or quick scores. Make the opponent use clock, and three scores become unattainable.

That is exactly what the Bears' D did.
If the "soft" defense is so good why not use it the whole game. The standard D gave up (7) pts for 3 quarters. The soft defense (17) in the last quarter. With no pressure a QB has all day for a receiver to sit in a zone. And they always do. Marching right down the field. Maybe you force your safeties to not jump routes exposing the long gainer but no reason not to bring pressure and force the O to do what they couldn't do all game. Just because it's what they've always done does not mean it was right. The sure way to stop them from running up points is to score your own. Notice Nagy didn't run 3 times and punt he still threw striving for 1st downs. Because 1st downs keeps the other teams O on the bench.

We lost that game because the offense couldn't get first downs in the second half. Tonight they played it perfectly. 3 scores up in the fourth qtr you make the other team use up the clock. Yes it takes away from the meatball gratification of an ass kicking, but it ensures a win.

Better to make OUR team use up the clock with holding Dallas to 3 and outs like we did earlier

I think it's pretty well established that the meatball gratification is the only thing most of this fan base cares about.

Don't mess with his narrative. He has made up his mind that something was wrong with this win. Buck and Aikman are discussing how good the Bears looked and Troy said, of the Cowboys, "I don't know how you come back from this.", because they watched the game with no emotion or preconceived bias.

But that won't stop Bud. He invoked the name of Belichik for no apparent reason, and thinks that made his point. :)

It is apparent you would prefer the Bears to win one game by four scores and lose another than to win both playing smart as they did tonight.

That makes no sense, and fortunately, the head coach doesn't share your view.

I absolutely do!

I am crying laughing at how childish your posts are.

"Waaahhhh.....Why didn't we risk losing in an effort to win by 20?"

Your "logic" is the stuff Ripley's publishes.

How many other games do you watch where you here from the owner and or GM after every game? Any?

Nope. Just Dallas. Every. Friggin. Week.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Seattle Sounders FC
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks

That's fine, and the Bears did that. If Miller catches that easy pass then there is another set of downs and at least another 1-2 minutes off of the clock. Chicago wins by 10 and this isn't up for discussion.

Part of the reason the team plays different in the last 8 minutes of a game, especially when up by 17 is because the other team isn't playing the same way they were before. The run game is pretty much off the table and the team has to pass. You can't play man to man and blitz because one broken coverage and instantly the Cowboys are back in the game with 2-3 minutes left. I'll remind you about Week 17, 2015 when Chicago Blitzed Rodgers and he tossed a pass to Randall Cobb to win the game.

This game really wasn't that close. Yes, Chicago allowed Dallas a couple of garbage time scores and the remote chance of possibly getting a hail mary at the end of the game but the odds of that happening were remote, at best. Anything can happen but you don't put the team into position to lose by allowing a fluke play, especially since players are not rotating in and out and Dallas is going into full 2 minute mode.
