We wasted all of our cap money on an overage TE. Guards can play well into their mid 30's.

This is a tough one. He's going to be 31 in the season, so there's that. OL typically age like supermodels. They go from making the most amount of their lives to being completely unemployable.

I'm not a fan of PFF, but do look at it when I really don't have anything else to go on. Here's his ranking the past few years:

2019 - 56.2
2018 - 55.8
2017 - 76.1
2016 - 86.5
2015 - 84.5
2014 - 84.1

So, there's been a a material decline over the past 2+ years. Was that because he didn't fit in the new scheme? Unsure. It does seem like he's locked into being a 'meh' guard after being extremely consistent. I'd hope he can regain some of that old magic, but like I said, OL don't age well. It's a race against time where he actually has to show he's better, not worse.

Jets traded for him and gave a 5th and received back a 6th. I haven't watched him but it wasn't a salary dump. He made $5m last year.

we have a hole on the line tho? Ifedi didn't earn shit here either yet.
I'd definitely be open to having both. And i think we can, of the price is right. I was just answering that specific comment.
