Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott and their myriad of hall of fame and pro bowl castoffs simply would not have been together for so long with present day rules. Maybe have a window of 2 seasons before the dismantling happens, lol

It's why the 85 Bears failed hard under Ditka. They were poised to become the last great dynasty (pre free agency) since the core stayed intact but couldn't win another ring or 2 with that hall of fame roster.
No QB is why they did not become a dynasty.

And Yogi Berra won the world series 10 times. Under your theory he is the greatest athlete in any sport
Baseball is a terrible comparison. While football is still a team sport, the QB is arguably the most important factor in winning championships in any sport. What Tom Brady has been able to accomplish has been remarkable and probably will never be repeated.

The troll is using an obvious strawman argument. He's comparing apples to oranges, as you pointed out, and is hoping that nobody notices the fallacy.

The argument given says most is best. I provided the counter to it. Duh

Cause it were all about championships then Yogi Berra would be the greatest athelete of all time

It's 53 players and a head coach. Brady always had a better HC and team
You really are a fucking idiot. Manning had FAR superior WR's and RB's from 2001 to 2006, ya know when Brady won 3 championships and Manning only had one.

Different sports. But if it is Brady or Manning the obvious choice is Brady. Though your missing it is hardly surprising. 10 Super Bowl appearances, 7 rings, 5 MVPs, 3 regular season MVPs, length of career... Manning is in any conversation but isn’t the correct answer. Personal achievements and records are great but football is still a team sport.

John Elway was never at any point in his career one of the top three quarterbacks in the league and yet people think he’s a top three quarterback all time. Funny how Time seems to rewrite things. Elway was good he was physically talented but if you had to win a game he was nowhere near the top guy you’d pick.

Here is one for you.

Aikman> Brady if Jimmy Johnson stayed in Dallas. Heck Aikman and that Dallas team won one with Switzer as HC. Jerry Jones ego blew up that team. A damn shame.

Joe Montana is the QB GOAT. Brady first 3 SBs relied in Vinatieri and Defense. From 2001-2006, Brady's numbers were above average. 2:1 touchdown ratio and close to 4000 yards passing. Seattle and Atlanta should've won, but both choked. Raiders won that game in 2001 playoffs. That was a fumble. Montana was just good, didn't need luck to win SBs.
Brady even admitted it was a fumble. NFL hated Al Davis.
