OT: Is my "name 2 offensive lineman" rule fair?

Last Monday at work a co-worker points to his new Packers hat and says "how about these guys" and I gave it a :shrug: so he says "at least we made it farther than the Vikings"

Fresh off the way the Vikings lost, I was in no mood for this so I pulled the real fan card.

I said "if you can name 2 offensive lineman, I'll listen to you talk"

100% true story

He says "OK let's see here....AJ Hawk"

I said "Nope. Not hearing you" and left the conversation

He chases me down a couple minutes later and says "Eddie Lacy and Richard Rodgers"

Eh, I just have this great ability to ignore people. I was out with these two girls one time. they were trying to talk shit to Eagles fans. they were actually the only 2 Eagles fans I ever ran across that were cool. They look at her and go name your safety. She looks at them and goes, "Reggie Bush". I walked away.

You usually can tell if a person knows what they are talking about quickly when it comes to sports. The rest just sound like douches.

Perfect rule lol. I do variations of this with people if they're talking shit and they seem like they don't know what they're talking about. You don't even need an answer sometimes, you can see the panic in their eyes before the answer (or lack there of)

Great rule. My wife and I are from Dallas and I HATE the Cowboys while she "claims" to be a "die hard" Cowboys fan to everyone we come across. It has always been a pet peeve of mine when girls act like big sports fans. It's one thing if they are doing it to support you, but it's another if they think they are reall big fans. She'll dog me about the Bears a lot so I got annoyed and told her to name 10 players on the team and I got a whopping 6 Cowboys. Needless to say she was embarrassed and pissed lol.
