Will/should Mike Ditka AKA Da Coach pursue a career in politics. I know this belongs in the B&I sub forum, but I just wanted to hear from the real Bears fans, salt of the earth types, not those snooty tards in B&I.

He is from a different generation, some would call it "A Great Freaking Generation" social media is not whats important, passion is.

He appears presidentially orange from time to time.

Will need confirmation on his hand size to really make a judgement on whether he should run for office lol.

He doesn't exactly have the mind for policy. To be a successful politician (in my view) you have to be willing to to painstakingly dull work to make a small difference to a lot of people where you are never properly thanked and often ridiculed for your passion. Do you really think Ditka would want to put up with that? Or he can be a bad one. That's like 75% of them (fine people I'm sure just bad at their job).

He should get back into acting. He had a great moment, I recall, in an episode of 3rd Rock from the Sun.

Well, he acts on emotion vs reason and intelligence, so he’d fit right in

Still laughing at “presidentially orange”.

If I suddenly get into owning racehorses, that’s the first name I will use.

Two Ditka stories from people I know:

1) got shitfaced, crashed a golf cart into a creek at Oak Park Country Club, left it there and went home.

2) went to Jerry Vainisi's anual luncheon for 100 or so former and present members of the Bears organization, ordered an expensive bottle of wine for every table, left without paying for it and stuck Vainisi with the bill.

I think he'd make an excellent politician.
