OT: Ron Washington Resigns As Rangers Manager

Ron Washington has resigned as Rangers manager for personal reasons, the team announced.

Some stunning news on Friday afternoon. Washington's Rangers have been a disaster this year, but there's nothing any manager could have done about that given all of the team's injuries. We had more of an issue with Washington's in-game decision-making back when the Rangers were winning. It's too early to speculate on what Washington's off-field issues might be, though he did test positive for cocaine in 2009. Tim Bogar will be in the interim manager in his place.

On a side note, I dunno who's running that franchise these days, but they've done a horrible job.

Rangers were an elite organization just a few years ago, now look at them.
