Shields I think will land with the Brewers.

My bet is that it is the Yankees. I'd love to see the Padres pony up and sign him, though. That'd really make it an interesting NL West.

That would just be unfair. If Wainright is healthy they Cards would have two aces.

Cardinals maybe.

Well, he's from San Diego, and said his preference would be to go out west. SF just signed another pitcher, so it looks like the Padres are getting him unless some other team offers more money.

Brewers, Red Sox, or Tigers.

If Shields were to land with the Tigers, I'll use what I think is Parade_Rain's definition and it would make them once again the front runner for the AL Crown

It has been a weird off-season. How outrageous was his asking price? I wonder if some other team can offer a longer term deal for less money per season and it makes sense?

i think what scares teams is his last post season and his hr rate. the money he asked for was probably stupid. i dont see him as a 18-20 mil a year guy. id love to have him but the money ughhh

I want him on the sox as the rotation would be deep as fuck. I just don't want to do it to cock block Detroit....we know how that went with Alex rios. I think his best chance to win where the team can slingshot themselves would be the sox,Tigers,Royals and cards.

Can Verlander come back or is he declining quickly? That mat answer if the Tigers get desperate enough to sign him.
