Must not be any love for boxing on this forum since there's no thread on this already. Anyone going to watch this fight on Saturday?

Pretty intriguing match-up here considering the size difference and possible historical ramifications. With Pacquiao's win over Miguel Cotto(who happens to be my favorite fighter), he claimed his 7th title in 7 divisions; a feat that has never been accomplished before. He is now looking to extend his record by winning his 8th title in 8 weight divisions. This fight will be for the vacant WBO Junior Middleweight title.

Boxing is far, far from dead. Dead sports don't pull in a million plus PPV buys. This board needs more diverse members...maybe just more members. I need to do some recruiting again here soon.

I really like MMA. Especially Bellator and UFC. I just find it funny how almost every MMA fan wants to act like boxing doesn't exist for some odd reason. It's almost as if getting into boxing at all will put their fanhood at stake.

Not liking it is cool, but saying boxing is dead is just a really ignorant statement. That or an attempt to insult the sport.

I can understand that. I'm hispanic so I naturally love any and all fighting sports.
