PECOTA projects Six to finish 3rd in Division

I think they are way off. Anything short of winning the Central is massively underperforming. JR made a huge mistake hiring hit drunk, racist buddy as the manager but, hopefully, that doesn’t have a huge affect. MLB managers are the least important head coaches in major sports assuming he doesn’t completely piss off dudes like TA, Moncada, Robert, etc and create a toxic environment.

They moved way too quickly on Eaton and then stopped a step short. Lynn and Hendricks are great acquisitions, but they really needed one more impact FA and I am confident that they consider themselves done.

In short, I still expect them to succeed, in spite of JR handcuffing Hahn.

But unless it’s off the scrapheap or some washed up vet, they won’t get it

Not a fan of the right field and DH options in house unless Eaton rebounds and Vaughn is good right away. However, there is no way barring serious injuries that Cleveland is better.

Once they traded for Lynn they need to grab another legit mid-rotation SP to really set the first part of their window. As usual they half-assed it.

That said if one of the young pitchers turns into that this year and they stay relatively healthy they will have a chance to make some real noise. A great line up, great bullpen, a couple studs at the top of the rotation.
