For some reason, I just have this feeling that Trubisky is a late bloomer, but I doubt he will end up blooming here. I would not be surprised if Trubisky ended up elsewhere next year and somehow found his rhythm.

Of course he could be a great backup and could make some serious money holding a clipboard too.

This^^^^^^^^^^ What I see happening is CCS haters will get him run out of town. Then he signs with Green Bay to replace Rodgers and he proceeds to beat the Bears twice a year for 10 years and those same CCS haters will become outraged how in hell Pace could have ever let him go

If Mitch is sensitive enough to be run out of town by “CCS haters” then he’s not cut out for the NFL or ready to handle the spotlight of being the most important player on a major market’s favorite team like the Bears.

If true, he would be the first ex Bear QB in 100 years to bust out with another team

Is this sarcasm? I can’t tell anymore. Pretty sure he meant the fans boing and shit are going to make the Bears move on. Not Mitch being sensitive.

He could also have a long career as a backup, I think that is more realistic.

Well the fans are booing because he sucks. That’s the more logical reasoning to “make” the Bears move on.

If the fans weren't morons he would definitely have more time to develop.

Also if this defense weren't so good. Most QB's taken #2 overall don't land on a superbowl caliber team.

Yes, plenty of QB's in nfl history took until year 4 who played 3-4 years in college. Mitch played 1 year.

I'm not saying it will happen, but most #2 overall QB's go to BAD teams where every mistake they make isn't put under a magnifying glass.

Whenever we watched the bears in the early Fox days whenever a QB or the defense fucked up we just went meh, same ol bears. Now people rage when mitch misses a wide open throw.

The sweet spot used to be year 3 when a QB would really break out. Same with WR.

You’re acting like landing on a good team is a bad thing. God forbid an NFL QB is expected to complete passes to wide open revivers. It’s not like it’s the very basics of playing QB or something

I'm not saying its a bad thing, I'm saying for a bad qb who has a lot left to learn(Mitch), its not exactly as beneficial to his development as landing on a team where your every mistake isnt analyzed and doesn't cost the team as much.

I agree. But unfortunately that’s the reality because Pace not only drafted him but doubled down in the process. For him to be this bad at this point in the career is inexcusable though. Regardless lf added pressure.

I agree with this late bloomer stuff. I think somebody has to build him back up from scratch because of how this has gone so far with him

The problem for us is that we are in win now mode so we can't afford to wait on the 5% chance it actually happens

Better for the Bears and mitch both to move on if he doesn't show out in whatever type of competition this ends up being
