Playoffs thus far are the perfect example of how the NFL is a QB-driven league.

Seriously - just from watching, you need that QB, and the most important thing out of all of it is accuracy under pressure.

Brady and Allen had that in spades. I watched Carr and Prescott, and for all the love they get from some fans, neither are close to clutch under pressure. Jimmy G has it a little bit, but no where near the level of Allen and Brady. Whomever wins this game between the 49ers and Cowboys isn't going to go far.

Obviously, you need more than just the QB. If you have a shit coach, or a shit scheme, that can sink you so hard (see Matt Nagy).

But man, if you don't have that QB, don't expect to go anywhere come playoff time.

While I do agree about the QB play, I think the defenses are determining who os going forward. IMHO.

We will see. I do think defense is still important and you need a mix of both. But I think you need that QB on the offensive side as well. I think just a really strong defense doesn't get it done alone anymore.

Elite QB play has always been the best way to optimize your success as a football team, Bears have just been one of the last teams in the league to get that memo.

I don't understand Dallas. Based on their roster, they should be one of the elite teams in the NFL. Instead they get beaten up physically on their home turf in the playoffs and are done.

That's because media and fans alike are chronically overrating their talent.

once again, Patrick Mahomes, a true slayer at the quarterback position got demolished by the Buccaneers defense in the Super Bowl. two important factors: 1) backup offensive linemen played and 2) the Buccaneers defense beat the fuck out of them.

if Mahomes is some uber generational best ever talent, he wasn't able to win it all himself. here's a novel concept: your team needs to be good on offense and defense to win it all. stop with this "omg you need a quarterback" shit, you need strong offensive line play and defense to win a Super Bowl too.

Playoffs thus far are a perfect example of why adding a 7th playoff team is terrible. The new format is complete garbage. Philly and Pitt did not deserve to be there and they both got the brakes beat off them. NFL gave us two extra extremely boring games. Same thing with the Bears last year.
