Big fan of Fincher's work. Behind on movies in general, which frosts my ass, as I used to be a serious movie guy. Anyway...

Seven years later, I just watched Gone Girl...not quite sure where to rate it. Holy shit the crazy...
I'm a Fincher fan as well. Have to like his work on Fight Club, Se7en, Gone Girl and The Game. Not overly impressed with the films Alien 3, Zodiac and Benjamin Buttons.

Girl Gone was excellent. I'd give it 9/10.

Godzilla vs kong.... meh.
The kids and conspiracy theorist storyline of course was jammed in there for the kids... but I can't imagine a kid enjoying anything about it.
Seemed like it was a choice they made to fill time after they ate up cg budget.

Not awful enough to be fun-bad..just absolutely forgettable.
It was forgettable. The kaiju fights were well shot and choreographed, but it deserved a much better human story.

I still thought it was a lot of fun, but definitely not as good as the ones leading up to it. They tried a little too hard with the filler stuff, but no one really watches kaiju flicks for the humans...so whatever.

King of All Monsters will go down as my favorite of these reboots and also the last movie I will ever see at Navy Pier's IMAX as they closed it forever last week.
All of these Legendary films were pretty weak. I think Skull Island was by far the best of them. The first 3/4 was so much fun, had the best human story component.

I think I liked G Vs K a little better than King of the Monsters. But then again I was expecting a much better story from King of the Monsters, whereas with GvK I wasn't expecting any story.

I liked it for what it was. I agree with @Jamais Vu though that king of monsters was better.
Right, I thought the human story in GvK at least got out of the way of the kaiju fun -- so one can enjoy it for what it was. King of Monsters was a better story, but was still so bad it just was a time wasting annoyance to the impressive kaiju scenes.

Godzilla Kong- I thought the fights were great. Out of the “monster verse” movies, this might be favorite next to Skull island. The human stuff on the Kong side was alright. The human stuff on the Godzilla side was awful. If you cut that stuff out it wouldn’t effect the movie at all. I enjoyed it and would recommend it if you’re into that type of thing.

Unholy- I don’t know where to start with this one. I guess I’ll just call it a pile of shit and leave it at that. Some of the VFX in this movie are amongst the worst I’ve ever seen.

I've never seen any of the Godzillas or King Kong movies before, so I went into this completely unaware of the story. I liked Godzilla vs King Kong and was entertained. Is it something I will watch it again? probably not. My wife who has seen all the other Godzilla movies and King Kong movies, hated this one.

I was in the same boat- had no idea it was part of a series.
Just watched for the rumble.

The fight scenes were good, but there wasn't enough.

I really liked Kong v Zilla. I typically hate all big monster movies. IDK why but i just never enjoy them. This one was an enjoyable watch for me but a lot of the human characters felt rather pointless. The Millie Bobby Brown trio of characters could have literally been cut out of the movie and it wouldnt have made a difference.

lmao...I thought the same thing. What was the point of Millie Bobby Brown? I thought maybe she was involved in previous Zilla movies

Hour into blade runner and this is some boring ass shit
lol...you lasted an hour? I was 30 minutes into it before I gave up. I told myself I'd come back to it later, but I haven't yet. I hope it picks up and is entertaining.
Are you guys talking about Blade Runner (1982), or Blade Runner 2049?

Im assuming, Bearsombie, you're talking about the 1982 version, right?

The original '82 film is a feast for the eyes and brain with its shot selection and lighting. I've only seen it 3 times. But I enjoyed it more the older I got.

Blade Runner 2049 is 2h 44m long. Honestly, for a film like this you have to commit to spending 2h 44m to see it. And it's a shame you can't see it in the theatre anymore, as that's the place to see it. It sets up its environment/world, which takes time. I'm not saying it isn't slow. Slow doesn't mean bad. It's the type of film it is.

This might just not be the type of film you like. I didn't like 2049 near as much as 1982, but I was still entertained.

In The Earth was pretty decent. If you’re into more “niche” horror stuff like Hereditary I think you will like it. If you aren’t, you will probably hate it. If flashing lights bother you, definitely don’t watch it.

I know people say Hereditary is one of the best scary movies out there, but idk if there's just something wrong with me, but I didn't find it scary at all. Creepy? yes, but not really scary
