His decision has been made and the packers know what it is. That is why they let those contracts void causing a $7 million hit to the cap. Their GM is speaking today as well. Just seems like he is either requesting a trade or retiring to me.

Rodgers retiring would be absolutely shocking. Would probably be the most currently talented player to retire since Barry Sanders.

Totally guessing here, but it sounds more like a retirement farewell. Would be ironic if both he and Brady retired in the same year.

You're forgetting the other guy from the Lions. Megatron retired after only 9 seasons coming off his 6th consecutive pro bowl.
I think Calvin and Barry both retired to escape the perpetual sinkhole that being a Lion was (and is) but they were such class acts that they didn't want to cause a ripple in the force by making selfish demands.

I don't think he wants to retire. He is 11-10 in the postseason. 1-3 in NFC championship games.

Certainly one of the greatest QBs of all time in the regular season, but not so much in the playoffs.

Any QB can win 1 SB. Its that 2nd win that puts you in a pretty elite group and you know he wants that recognition.

Rodgers is tradeable. 26m cap hit to the team that acquires him and that is very doable.

For the Pack, its a horrible situation. 20m cap hit if they trade him.

He really put the Packers in a horrible situation being so vocal about a trade and killing the Packers leverage.

Agreed. Going into Canton the same year as Brady? No way #12 will allow that. He's got at least one more year.

He's such a douchebag, screw him and the Packers.

53 million over the cap after Monday's voided players.

I see him at least playing out his contract thru 2023. Gives him 2 years with a team to try to gel and win it. His numbers have still been good the last few years so I would think at least 2 years left in the tank.

Packer fans don't want him back. March 16 is free agency. Rodgers said he'd make a decision by then . . .

Aaron wants publicity. He will milk this the entire off season before making his true intentions known. There is no reason for him to make a decision until the last possible minute. Publicity is his motivation.
I don't think so. He's already said that he will likely have a decision by the end of February, or at the very latest, by the franchise tag deadline in early March.

I think he's waiting to see what happens with Devonte Adams and some other guys before he commits to GB.

Rodgers is going to be 39 in december.

2023 he is going to be a free agent. Packers would be fools to keep him around at his age bracket. Sell for assets now, they can get at least 2 first round picks for him. 2023 they get nothing
