He was a good GM, he was also hated by his players.

Not sure you can be a good GM and be hated by the guys you manage.

Sure you can. What is it with some people who think everything has to be a likeability contest?

Krause was an excellent GM with horrible people management skills.

It wasn't only jordan who had an issue with krause, lol.
Pippen had the biggest issue with him but he should of been more angry with his agent for letting him sign that contract.

Krause certainly can be criticized in retrospect for his approach to certain situations specifically at the end of the run - but this is a completely asinine take. He played a big part in the historically successful run they had - the packers success isn't even in the same stratosphere.

Krause's biggest flaw was taking everything Jordan said personally.

If Krause had just maintained distance from it and been objective, and traveled on his own instead of with the players, I don't think he breaks the bulls up in 98.

But by that point he was so over everything that he just wanted to flush it all out which is rather human.

Krause definitely had some people issues. But anyone watching The last dance could pick up on that Jordan himself was an insane person who would never let up on someone he hated, and Phil Jackson also intentionally poisoned the well because of his personal issues with Krause.

The reality is it was a lot of people doing very bad and stupid things who otherwise would have been more than qualified to keep the bulls going.

The truly sad part of all of it is that one of the major reasons why the bulls have been so bad for so long actually has nothing to do with Krause, and everything to do with jordan, pippin, and Jackson poisoning the well in making it so that no one even wanted to come to Chicago. As much as the rain storms get some crap, most of it can be traced to those three in terms of the league's negative perception of the bulls.

Not saying gar pax was great because it wasn't and it was an awful train wreck. But maybe we never get a gar pax if the well hadn't been so horrifically tainted to the point where we had to wait until enough generations had passed that incoming players no longer cared about a Michael Jordan (which is evident given everything is about LeBron James now)...

Aaron doe
no it’s not similar. aaron rodgers isnt even the greatest at his own position, he shouldn’t see himself as the equivalent to the greatest professional athlete of all time
Aaron doesn't have the success Jordan has obviously, but he is the only reason the Packers have been relevant for 12 years. So his point still stands as he should be treated with complete respect.

Krause didn’t manage any of the players….he only acquired them. If he never had Jordan on the team he never would have won a championship let alone 2 three-peats.
