Some decent throws in there.

Just decent? There arent 10 qbs in the league that make a few of those throws.

Rodgers?

Burrows?

Stafford?

Mahomes, maybe Murray.

Who else?

Fields throws a mean strike with his midrange ball. Be interesting to see how fast the ball travels.

Sadly, there isn't much difference... Except that Trubs was throwing to absolute scrub receivers.

REALLY hoping there's a significant jump between years 1 and 2 for Fields. (I need this...)

He certainly throws a hell of a fastball, but the difference between Fields and the rest of this list is how frequently they throw these strikes.

Love Fields, and I am excited for how his skills will continue to grow... but he just isnt going to get credit for making these awesome throws until he lights it up for a few games in a row. Then he will get the Josh Allen/Lamar Jackson treatment where the talking heads will ponder aloud whether he is a one year wonder, or just had a hot streak, or if he can continue to grow.

I am confident he will have a true coming-out-party where he will be the talk on TV for weeks in a row next season. Hope I am right!

A couple of things are evident to me in this snarky Trubisky footage below:
  1. How consistently bad the offensive line has been for years
  2. How similar bad Trubisky looks to bad Justin Fields in a Matt Nagy offense

Maybe my memories of Trubisky are just tainted, but there were way too many thrown in the middle of the field that Trubisky just flat out missed a wide open WR.....

I'm not saying Field made every throw, but it just felt like he made a lot of them and was more consistent than Mitch in the middle to long throw......

Might just be rose colored glasses, but I am hopeful.

he's way more accurate than Trubisky was. the way how he accurately throws on the run, running for his life, is incredible. now just plug him into a not-blowjob offensive scheme and maybe the Bears will finally get it together.

Oh how I hope he turns out to be better... Like a million times better... but both rookie videos are underwhelming.... and Trubs didn't even have a real WR to throw to.

Yeah... and he hurt himself on every. single. one.
He did seem to be grimacing every time he caught a pass. LOL

I’m wondering if Mitch would have followed John Foxs O.C to wherever he went would he have been a bit better than he was!
