I'd preferred they went after Vernon Butler to fill the right DE slot. He'd cost more but he's got more potential.

DL is easily the strongest position group on the team. Not sure why you'd want spend more money on someone like Vernon Butler when there are so many other holes to fill.

Butler had a solid year this year but he's never even been decent before that.

RRH can rush from the inside and that has a bunch of value even if you do not start.

Our DL coach is a machine,

Hicks-underachiever to All Pro
Goldman-2nd round to Pro Bowl
Nichols-5th round rookie contributor
RRH-UDFA OLB converts to DE
Anderson-even he looked good in limited reps

Nick Williams will probably get a decent deal in this off-season, potentially helping in the comp pick market

Yes Jay Rodgers has been impressive since he came to Chicago. I don't think we'll be able to keep him too much longer cause he's gonna get offers from teams for some kind of promotion job if not a DC job. If Fangio didn't have Donatell with him when he was in San Fran and with us then he probably would of taken him from us to Denver with him to be his DC.

He did well replacing Hicks and would love to be able to keep him but pretty sure he's gonna get an offer we can't match and maybe even an offer to start somewhere.
