I'm certainly not going to pick the hill to die on that Poles somehow "knows" Fields is the guy, but the people pushing the whole "Poles doesn't believe in Fields" are showing a willful detachment from reality.

Its not hard to grasp, and now even Poles has cleared it up, but people when we get to the point where people believe clickbait journalism over the person responsible himself for making that decision, in a situation where he has ZERO reason to lie about it, you've effectively crossed the Rubicon into the land of willfully ignorant stupidity, never to return.


*From the beginning, Poles said this whole thing will take time.
*Poles has said Justin is the guy, they like his traits, and they will build around him
*Included Justin in the watching of tape when scouting WRs for the draft, and drafted the guy JUSTIN LIKED THE MOST.
*Poles has on a number of occasions admitted that it will take MORE than one year to finish building around Fields, let alone complete the team.

Yet in spite of this, and listening to this, people would rather believe clickbait journalists peddling in Bears fear porn that re-enforce their own dissatisfaction with the draft than believe the GM who in this situation has zero reason to lie.
