Per Charles Robinson. Take it for what it's worth. Here's the blurb from Rotoworld.

Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports the Saints are looking to trade up for Virginia Tech CB Caleb Farley.

Robinson added that the Saints feel they may need to move ahead of the Titans to ensure Farley will be available. Ian Rapoport also chimed in, confirming that he has heard the Saints are looking to trade up. Rapsheet wouldn't specify that New Orleans wanted Farley but did cite cornerback as a need for the team. Farley suffered a back injury last year that required surgery which caused his draft stock to dip. He's expected to be ready for training camp and his talent is unquestioned so it's possible that teams are eager to take the slight injury risk on him given his upside. New Orleans released Janoris Jenkins this offseason opening up a considerable hole in their secondary that Farley would be tasked with filling.

The Titans are are #22 so it looks like it would be a good chance for us to trade down and pick up some more assets. Using drafttek.com to look at pick value, #20 is 850 points while #28 is 660 points. New Orleans holds the 98th and 105th picks (late 3rds) which total up to 192. #28, #98 and #105 for #20 is a different in value of only 2 points, again, according to this chart.

I love Farley but would be tempted by this move and possibly adding some sort of additional pick/swap to come out ahead in the trade because; fuck thre crybaby saints.

Fuck the chart value. If they want to move up to 20, Pace should ask for 28 and 60.

Time for Ryan to start fleecing other teams.

Agreed. Or the Bears call Tennessee and say if you don't give us a third rounder plus twenty-second overall we're giving the Saints this pick and they are going to use it to take your guy.

Farley is dropping to the 2nd rd or later. He has back issues that may require additional surgery.

Team asking to trade up has to pay a premium so 2o for 28 and 60. Maybe Bears throw in 164.

That would be a good trade. Those two thirds, plus what we already have in the third and second, could allow us to maneuver in the second or grab nice value in the third, after the dust settles.

If we have three thirds and then use one on Newman, having grabbed Cosmi in the first and Elijah Moore in the second, that’s not bad. Or, package them and jump into the early second and grab Mond, while still getting our original picks.

This would be a great trade.
