RUMOR: Bears Sniffing Around Jets Quarterback Sam Darnold?

With the Trubisky Era at an end, the Bears are now once again hunting for their QB of the future. Is Sam Darnold in their sights?

It is going to be tough to get any of the top QB's in the draft picking at 15-20. I have never been a big Darnold fan, but it may make sense to see what it would take to get a guy with possibly some upside potential. Lord knows the Jets aren't developing anyone. I like what I see from Foles so far, but he has shown this before only to be let down long term.

That said, I also hate the idea of giving up draft capital. If we are talking about a 3rd or 4th, I would listen. 1st or 2nd, I stick with BDN.

Great point about Gase having a history of this with Tannehill

I'd consider it if the price was right after the draft if the bears couldn't make a move for a better potential franchise QB

Gase is terrible and the Jets roster is even worse. Darnold has more arm talent in his right pinkey than Mitch does in his whole body. He has better footwork. He’s worth a look for sure. I wouldn’t hesitate for a 4th. I’d think about it for a 3rd
