For YEARS the Bears DBs have been hitting ball carriers instead of tackling them!!!!!

Why is this lack of tackling fundamentals being tolerated?

Nagy, are you their friend, or are you a HC?

Classic is Jackson trying to hit Cleveland RB Hunt with his shoulder, instead of tackling him, and Hunt just moves a little left to avoid him, goes in for the TD. This has been going on for a long time. Why is Nagy and DC Sean Desai allowing this blatantly incorrect method to continue?

They need to teach the DBs how to tackle and require them to wrap up and tackle properly to get on the field. You can't win a championship if you don't require players to complete fundamentals like correct tackling and blocking.

Thoughts?

The biggest issue with the players is blocking on offense - they are still confused in year 4 of Matt Nagy.

They have already thrown an OC and line coach under the bus. No. More. Excuses.

Nagy doesn't even have the guys on his unit block. You think he's gonna worry about tackling? LUL

The only player he's ever held accountable is Anthony Miller.

Eddie Jackson knows how to tackle he just doesn't like contact.
Nagy needs to give the Offense and play calling back to Lasor (who immediately got his players executing well and scoring 30+ pts a game, along with making good game decisions).

And then focus on being a head coach capable of only allowing players on the field that follow the fundamentals.

Lazor's 30+ point games were against bad teams. just saying.

Pretty sure that's wrong. He was 3-3 IIRC.

No wait, that was NAGY on his very first experience calling plays EVER during his last year with KC, including that bad playoff loss, which he took full blame for then shuffled into Halas.

...Then proceeded to be so arrogant as to think he was qualified to to full-time at the same time as being a Head Coach.

It's not about tackling, or playing hard, or executing, or gameplanning, or playcalling...

It's about understanding the whys.

I believe so too. Didn’t Nagy take back play calling with the second packers game?

True, but the whole offense was executing really well under Lasor. That means players knew what they were doing, and were doing it like well prepared professional football players. That's huge.

You can get beat by a better defense, but if you're executing well, at least it's an entertaining game, and any given Sunday you got a chance.

Good points. Mitch and the offense... performed-executed, better under Lazor. But yes, much of the time the offense looks disorganized, out of sync and unprepared. I've noticed this for yrs. What's frustrating is it seems there's never any accountabilty
