Would much rather spend FA money on other positions, than on center with chronic hip issues like Pouncey, and draft one of slew great 1st/2nd round interior O-line talents like Nelson / Wynn / Hernandez / Price / Daniels.

Either way it's nice to have options. I just wish I knew what the plan was. Even if the plan is to draft Nelson there's no guarantee he'll be there so we've gotta find someone in FA for a Plan B.

Whitehair needs to get back to playing guard, but I am fine with Grasu or Boggs at center too.

Pouncey was tragically bad last year, although some of that could have been due to the entire Oline being terrible.

Don't forget about Kush. He played very well for the Bears before his injury - and he plays both center and guard!

Pouncey's best days are behind him much like Nate Solder.

Grasu has shown nothing to prove he can ever be relied on to play center. But, last off season he was rehabbing his knee so no real chance to hit the weight room. So this off season he works his ass off , the new highly acclaimed line coach watches the Grasu lowlights on gamefilm and figures out a solution to make Grasu a servicable center. Leverage and that first step can make a huge difference.

I really have no idea if he's any better than Olin's left nut post vasectomy. I haven't watched him at all. Seems strange for him to ask to be released from a 10m per contract if he's regressed. Maybe he overvalued himself. Wouldn't be the first. Maybe missing an arm and right thigh he'd still get another 10 per on name alone. Idk. Just thought it interesting that he was released.

Pouncey is more of a name than a player at this point.
