So, next years teams we play don't seem too bad if the Bears can take a step forward

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears

I know anything can happen from year to year, but I remember the past few years when the Bears have finished 3rd or 4th thinking "Oh shit - why is the schedule this hard?"

This seems like if we can get a decent coach next year (and hopefully a better GM), Bears can have a bounce-back year.

Agreed. I am optimistic towards next season. Nagy has held this offense back for 4 seasons. If Fields can take some steps forward its easily a .500 team that can push for a playoff spot.

I see 4 wins on that schedule.

2-1 vs. New York.

If the Steelers/Ravens games swing our way, we're sitting 8-8 right now... that's with the crazy injuries that have plagued us this year.

Who cares. Packers win year and snd year out, no matter how hard or easy their schedule is.

I prefer a team that is actually GOOD, so we don’t have to hope or look forward to a “weak” schedule…

So basically lucking into mediocre 3 seasons in a row. We should hang a banner like in Detroit!

This is the schedule cycle that usually equals a good Bears season. It happened in 2006, and 2018. 2012 wasn’t bad either.

The Packers always have the easiest schedule in NFCN because they get four games against the Bears and Lions.

This team was two defensive collapses away from being 8-9. Yes I think them beat the Vikings next week so 9-8.

10-7 with better coaching

The defense was not the problem. This team would be 1-16 maybe if the defense was as bad as the offense. Your comment instead should be if the offense was average and not between few, the Bears would be 10-7.

I know - I always defend the defense.

The defense was the problem in at least a few games.

The defense was the problem v Pittsburgh and San Fran. Sorry not sorry, I tend to defend them as well.

Baltimore too. If get what you’re saying though. Offense literally can’t get worse than 2021

Getting into the playoffs is always the first step. The 2011 Super Bowl Champion Giants were 9-7 in the regular season... they were streaky... 6-2 to start the season and went 1-5 to be at 7-7 before getting hot. If you get hot at the right time, that can make all the difference.
