When does he turn in his lottery ticket?

A few days before the draft I predict. Teams will analyze to the last second just how much they value Bryce Young and how much they are willing to pay. Poles should also be picky about just how far he wants to go down and how much he values future selections.

There is no reason for a team to trade too early. If they want one specific player, that pick will be up until the point they want to negotiate. YOu never know if something is going to happen to that player in the offseason.

Jimmy G is going to Jets because that team can’t develop young QBs. Brady to Raiders. Carr to NO or Tenn.

Carolina, Indy, Houston, maybe Seattle or Detroit, Atlanta, Washington, Tampa Bay needs QB. Let the bidding begin.

I can envision Poles waiting for that last moment in order to get a Double trade down scenario

Week or 2 before the draft when team’s that struck out on QB in FA are the most desperate.

Chris Ballard has QB desperation that is on par with Ryan Pace levels.

The options are endless for Ryan Poles SZN.

I disagree. There is all kinds of reasons for a team to do an early trade.
Say the Colts are leaning Young or Stroud. If they don't get the #1 early the risk:

1)Someone else trading early with the Bears and Texans getting QB 2
2)Time to focus on evaluating which one fits their system better and access to those players and agents with them knowing the Colts control their destiny.
3)Getting no deal and possibly missing on QB1, 2, and 3 if the typical QB stock pre draft rise kicks in.
4)The ability to negotiate and have a contract in place before the player is even drafted

Why is there not an option for Never but without the other shit?
I think never and making Fields RB 1 are about equally likely.

Can you imagine the shit storm and cunting if he drafts Carter/Anderson at #1? They would need to instantly be the next coming of Donald/Mack to not make that a complete failure.

I wouldn't be surprised if it went up to draft day. Best to hold that pick hostage until and unless a team comes along and knocks your socks off.
There’s a lot of teams in the top 12 or so that need a QB. It’s a highly coveted pick that will have a lot of competition. If the Bears don’t receive a knock your socks off type of offer by draft day, that would be a bit worrisome

Second question, when do you start to get nervous that Poles may actually hold onto and not trade the pick?

I'm looking forward to it actually.
