Yeah fields fanboys, we get it. This team is not fantastic. Lots of hurdles to overcome.
But then again, every rookie that goes to a shit team has the same issues.

I looked back at some of the fringe talent at QB that has kicked around the league the last couple years to see if maybe we could compare fields in a favorable light to other rookies with high potential, and maybe get some hope.
the results are not good.

On the plus side, over the first 16 games, Fields edged out Blaine Gabbert.
However, it gets pretty worrisome after that.

Here are the results of Justins first 16 starts-

Then, just to throw the fanboys a bone, I figured Fields at least had to be better than JaMarcus Russel after 16 game.... but.... no.

That is some pretty embarrassing shit right there- a list of the first 16 games of a bunch of scrubs on bad teams, and Justin is doing worse than the lot of them, save Gabbert.

Hell, I was even gonna throw every fanboys favorite commentator on the list, the mighty Dan Orlovsky, but alas, he didnt have enough starts to qualify.

I will point out that in 12 career starts he compiled a better td to int ratio, more passing yards, and a better passer rating than justin has had in 16 starts though.

He’s getting pressured on close to 50% of drop backs. That’s the worst percentage since these stats were started back in 2009. Pretty sure that has something to do with it. He’s been sacked 23 times in 6 games and it would be higher if it wasn’t for his insane talent

Wow what a stupid comparison. He fits these qbs style more.

Out of the 4 Lamar had the best OL and a great TE plus a great running game. Hurts has always had a great OL, same with Allen.

86% of QB Drafted will be Bust. Easy call early in A Career

Justin Fields will not be in that Group IMO, will he be A Bear next year? Who knows..

He's the more athletic version of Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow could barely hit 50 pct of his passes just like his brother Justin Tebow.

The offensive line is horrible at pass protection. That said, there are also plays where the hits or sacks occurred because Fields held onto the ball too long. Both are true. As is the fact that the WR have dropped balls and there have been poorly thrown balls. As is the fact that there are WR not getting open and also WR getting open but Fields not throwing the ball. It's multiple things all going on.

Fields has had worst stats compared with almost every QB in NFL history through 16 games. There is no denying that. It is a objective fact just looking at the numbers. In fact, there have been QBs who had better numbers than him that were benched before they could even get to 16 games. The sole reason Fields is getting a chance is because he is so physically gifted. It's like dating a 10 and finding out she is terrible at sex. You might give her a few extra chances because her body is smoking.

Fields has shown some progress in certain areas the last couple of games. He can make explosive plays but compounds it with catastrophically bad plays. He makes Cutler look like a steady game manager lol. He has to fix this.

Parkins on the score... who btw is one of the biggest Fields supporters there is.. was saying that if the Bears had the number 1 pick, he is taking a new QB. You just can't pass that up if a QB has that bad a record after 2 years. That is just reality.

He deserves more time but he just simply isn’t looking like thee guy. He never had a chance here really. From going to Nagy to this roster, it was a dead end road.
