You are right. Maybe they needed to remember that for themselves.

I've been saying for years and I think they have been looking, that they need another center that can win face-offs, and looky looky...now they need 2 guys to replace Toews and still the one more.

Kane/cat/Kuba should be enough to prevent records with the shortened season they won't have to win so many, and they get another historically bad team in Detroit to fight each other for it.

This team is in a battle for 1st, 2nd, or third to last.

Depends. As far as I know:

Seabs can be on permanent LTIR and still get paid. I think as long as he's on the roster for the 1st game of the year, then we get full LTIR benefits--meaning we can use his cap hit for LTIR overage.

If he retires, then his cap hit is free, but he also leaves the rest of his contract money on the table. That means he walks away from $20.5M. Somehow, I got the feeling he won't do that.

I'd trade anyone over 26 myself but do you trust Scam Blowman to make trades of that magnitude?

Cubs won their division by three games and they're dumpin' salary......they can do this because they know a lot of fans are stupid or just don't care.

Johny showed up 75 lbs over weight with 3 chins and Stan upproached him at the team sandwich buffet and was like "Johnny? Whats going on buddy?" and Toews disn't seem to even be aware there was an issue. They quick loaned him some of Seabrooks sweaters but in the end just decided he needed to seek some mental help and take a short season to lose some weight.
