Each fall, on the last home stand of the year, the Brewers hold a fan appreciation night. Traditionally, the team hands out prizes like a new car, and signed gear. This season there's a dilemma, thanks to who is on the schedule: The dreaded Chicago Cubs.

"They all come up here thinking they own the place," said fan Rachel Evanow.

"They come here in droves," said another.

Brewers fans can't stomach the idea of Cubs fans walking away with prizes intended for them.

"I hate the Cubs. The Cubs suck," said Evanow.

And the Brewers agree -- they're breaking tradition and fan appreciation night is being moved two weeks earlier, to September 19th, against the last place Cincinnati Reds.

Brewers fans say breaking tradition this year is worth it.

"The Cubs fans are just not very friendly people," a Brewers fan said.

While they won't end up on top, there is hope there are still wins worth cheering for.

In a statement, the Brewers say this was a common sense decision. The Cubs are in playoff race, and their fans will likely be in Milwaukee in droves.

Funny thing about Wisconsinites...most of them suffer short term memory loss.

"They come here in droves"

"They come here thinking they own the place"

"just not very friendly people"

They could very well be describing Packer fans making the trek to Soldiers Field.

Eh, Chicago fans can suck. I don't know. We are friendly down here. Ive been to Wrigly a decent amount and always been treated nicely but I was a Cubs fan. But, I can so see some Bears type fans acting like pricks.

Chicago fans are honestly some of the worst. I've heard it from quite a few opposing teams fans in baseball and football. Still doesn't beat out how big of d-bags Seahawks fans are.

The 20 Brewer fans that go to the games at Wrigley are far from Angels

And FWIW: The Cubs do own the place

The nickname "Wrigley North" didn't grow out of the ground

My take, really the only type of Cubs fans that were real jerks or acted like pricks were the drunk bleacher bum type. They don't know when to quit! Their mouths run and run. Many of use Cubs fans are not like that though, myself included. Its just some fans look at Wrigley like a party place, a lets get plastered joint. And than theres fans that like to go there to actaully watch a baseball game.
