  1. Chicago Bears
Draft

1[20] LT Sam Cosmi [Texas] 6'6 315lbs

Bears probably won't be able to trade up but with Andy Dalton as the starting at QB Bears will be in the mix next season.

Of all the tackles in the 2021 class, I think Cosmi will benefit most from a solid NFL coaching staff. That’s not to malign the guys who handled that for him in college; it’s just that some players come to the NFL with a lot of natural gifts and a desperate need for refining work. Put that with some squats in the weightroom to give him a bit more margin for error, and Cosmi has the look of a first-round talent. Until then, he’s a developmental prospect who might impress at times in the NFL, and could resemble a turnstile at other times.

2[52] QB David Mills [Stanford] 6'4 215lbs

Mills had a good pro day, showing off a quality arm and athleticism to go with good size, which has generated a media buzz. Mills missed the start of the Pac-12's season due to a COVID-19 positive test. He completed over 66 percent of his passes for 1,508 yards, seven scores and three picks. He also had 37 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Mills could have gone back to Stanford, but decided to enter the 2021 NFL Draft.

3[83] WR Tylan Wallace [Oklahoma State] 5'11 185lbs

Wallace played well for the Cowboys in 2020 and looks healthy. He is a tough wideout who knows how to run routes and pick up yards after the catch, but he lacks a defining mismatch trait for the NFL. Hence, he could be a good No. 2 or 3 receiver at the next level.

5[164] G Jack Anderson [Texas Tech] 6'5 315lbs

Anderson could have been a mid-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he went back to Texas Tech. While he played well enough to earn a Senior Bowl invitation, team sources say Anderson's play looked soft as a senior. That is about the worst adjective a scout can use for an offensive lineman.

6[204] CB DJ Daniel [Georgia] 6'1 185lbs

Daniel was a solid corner for Georgia in 2020, but he has some limitations for the NFL. Some teams have him graded as a late-round pick to compete for a backup role and special teams duty.

6[208] ILB Garrett Wallow [TCU] 6'2 230lbs

Wallow was tough run defender for TCU in 2020, making a lot of tackles. He looks like a potential backup as a pro.

6[221] QB KJ Costello [Mississippi] 6'5 215lbs

Expect Bears to double dip on QB's with the late round picks.

6[228] TE John Bates [Boise] 6'6 255lbs

Hasn’t Pace traded up at some point in all of his drafts? A mock without trade ups is pointless.

Cosmi is too much of a project.

But the team would’ve better, Pace and Nagy would be fired, and aside from wasting 2021 we would be set up for the new regime

I like the LBer and Cosmi. Costello's a big dude with a big arm, so the 6th is okay.

For the H-back blocker that Bates is, I'd just go with the legend Ben Mason. A complete fucking savage.

Where 8s yours!?
Now that you mention it, I should start working on it.

If OP is a Davis guy, so be it. I just dont care for double dipping at QB. Nor do I like Sam at 20

You could probably get Cosmi at the end of the 1st round. Also the drop-off from Cosmic to Ridunz is minimal at best and he could be there at 52.

According to Daniel Jeremiah, Radunz has been overlooked by the analyst community. He thinks Radunz goes in the 1st round, compared him to David Bakhtiari. Cosmi has all the athleticism in the world, but his whole game has to be reworked. Radunz will likely be drafted ahead of Cosmi.

Pat Kirwan loves Radunz. Was quite impressed with his Senior Bowl week and game tape...

I would be very enthused by that draft.
Same here. One of the more realistic no trade mocks I've seen. No magical quality dropping etc.

On a conference call, Larry Meyer asked Jeremiah what OT the Bears would likely target in the 1st round. He said either Darrisaw at #20 or Radunz in a small trade down.

The clowns on this site will be screaming bloody murder if Pace selects Radunz in the 1st.

What if devonte smith falls to 12-15 what about moving up to take this dude?

he’s going to be an absolute stud

What if they take a qb and have to give up some capital, Eric fisher and Schwartz are still sitting out there waiting to be picked up and they shouldn’t cost too much. Even if they can’t play right away, they are better than most tackles on one leg.

I just don’t get pace and his unwillingness to get good offensive lineman. We all saw what happens to even the best qb’s when they do t have time to throw. Christ, we beat the bucs bc we were all over him all game.

I honestly believe that there are a few among the people on this site that probably wouldn’t do any worse than pace as a GM.
