I think the Cubs will give us Bryant, Rizzo, and Baez. I think we can swing it. :)

Nah, if we get Baez.... where is Yolmer Sanchez supposed to play?

Robert raised his AA average to .352 last night. He should be heading to Charlotte soon.

Cease didn’t have the cleanest line but picked up a win yesterday for Charlotte.

López was excellent today. Moncada went 4-5 and Eloy hit one a country mile.

Eloy hit one into Lake Michigan yesterday against Washington. Madrigal and Robert both had big days as Birmingham split a double header.

Madrigal is 11 for 19 since moving to AA. He has 4 steals and 4 RBIs in 5 games. Robert is hitting .338 and had five hits yesterday in the double header.

Yeah...the White Sox appear to have enough high tier bats of all styles.

They kept landing "the best bat in the draft" in consecutive rounds, in consecutive drafts, in international drafts, in trades.

They can start putting together strong rosters with some minor tweaking and pitching help for the next several years. They are in a luxury waiting window where you can already see the 7 bats you need to build a line-up, and with a little health and 2 or 3 of about 10 strong candidates in the system ... if they could have 2-3 positive surprises in addition to

Jiminez, Moncada, Anderson, Abreu, Ropert, Vaughn

My query is how good are Burger, Rutherford, Rodriguez, Madrigal? Those types of guys.

I think the 6 above guys are beneficial major league baseball players any team would want in their line-up. Hopefully Vaughn bats above .250 and isn't Reynolds or bad Chris Davis...I might be jumping the gun putting him in that 6...

but "The best college bat I have ever seen"...

and other analyst gushing over his swing...now Madrigal is trending very much up...and Anderson/Moncada really set themselves apart this year as explosive multi-tool players.

Let me asset another take on the pitching.

While it would have been nice to have pitching in 2019... the Twins kinda had a fluke year and playoffs were bleak.
The pitching pressure may force Kahn to over address the issue which could be a good thing. Via trade, and/or free agency...they are now highly likely to add some help, and that will open the door imo, to guys like Cease/Rodon, making a strong comeback and turning pitching into a strength.

The sky is the limit on Ropert/Jiminez/Vaughn

Sox took a step back by getting involved in the Manny sweepstakes. It made them sign a bad contract just to lure.

But they did right by Eloy and Arretta 2015 is the staff ace.

That bit is crazy. Huge fan of that.

So I do like the direction. Cease they should baby the shit out of him. No need for 2 TJ aces back to back. The need is low and they have a savior already.

I think that they are very close. Maybe a big left handed bat. Don't trade Coleme build around him.

There are lefties in the minors coming.

Lucas throws another gem for his 10th win and Eloy goes deep twice with six RBIs. Anderson was pounding the ball too. This team is starting to be enjoyable to watch.

Man, really makes you wonder what this team would be like with a healthy Rodon and Kopech.

If the Sox can maintain this type of play through the next few weeks (iirc a tough part of the schedule), do they look for some starting pitching on the trade market?

There are lefties in the minors coming.

Zach Collins is a very likely one.

OF lefties will end up over shadowed by Eloy and Louis. Basabe is more of a lead off vs a middle of the order lefty.

So I'll stick with what I said.

Patience....

some of the best parts aren't even here yet. Ropert and Vaughn.

I suspect they can trade Abreu to a contender this year now with Vaughn in the fold at DH, open up some money for FA pitching, etc.

The guys they have now can compete and thats a really really good sign of this thing.

When its finished it looks like they have a chance to be dominant and overwhelm alot of folks.

I also like that they aren't one dimensional. They will have righties, lefties, power and speed.

Maybe Basabe turns into the speed outfielder they need. There defense projects to be a touch slower than the norm but offense should make up for it.
