La Russa going with Hendricks in the 8th inning was unconventional, even Ozzie commented on the post game show on why he didn't utilize any of other guys in the bullpen after Kopech, however, I can't blame La Russa, it's pretty clear that outside of Kopech he doesn't really trusts anybody else in that bullpen and that was a much needed win to stop that mini losing streak. Obviously, he can't keep doing with Hendricks so early, he just has to hope those other guys in the bullpen step it up.

It worked out too as they didn’t need him Wednesday and had a day off on Thursday.

With a 12-1 blowout, he didn’t have to work Friday either.
