They've been in just under a month. When I water, I turn a sprinkler on very low as it needs to only wet the raised bed, so if there's any saving grace it is that the 12 hours of water was not at high volume.

They don't look like they're in bad shape. We'll see.
Also depends on the amount of precipitation you've had recently. Not sure if you are outside of Chicago or not, but if you aren't, we're in a drought and the garden would probably dry out by end of day.

Ahhhh.... Gotta love it when people from places where it rains all the time complain about having to water.
Last two springs in Chicagoland we've had record amounts of rain. Summer 2019 had a lot of rain too... This spring, we're having a record amount of not rain.

This actually tacts on to the drought Chicagoland started experiencing in July last year that never truly ended. Precipitation has basically been very low since July of 2020.

Chicago doesn't have a clue what a true drought is

Just posting in the gardening thread and I do expect some rain since I don't live in an arid climate.

I'm giving you shit. I drag a hose around daily to keep my plants alive... It's going to be high nineties this weekend...

In St Louis area.
I have mixed feelings. If it dries out too quickly it will only make me feel my watering going forward is for naught. 😂
