What does it matter how much it costs? Is $10 mil a year a lot for an NFL franchise? It’s not like it counts against the cap or anything.

Yes dishing out a 10 year $100 mil deal is a lot for a franchise. Of course it doesn’t go against the cap but there is also a reason franchises don’t just hand out deals like that to a HC.
