I think they come out to a slow start that might cause a shake up mid season with some trades to what we think are center pieces to this team. As of right now I think lavine ball Williams are the only ones safe to stick around no matter the outcomes. I think the ceiling for this team is 5th seed.

A team that stands at 43-17 is 26 games above .500. That isn't my opinion. It's widely interpreted that way throughout American sports.

If another pandemic broke out nearly halfway through the next NBA season, and the Bulls (for example) stood at 21-19, they would be two games over .500. Because it would take two games, potentially, for them to be at .500. And the season would possibly be over anyway.

I still say 26 because to me .500 is not doing all that math to see what you could be above 500, that's what win percentage is for. When I say .500 I'm referring to having as many wins as losses. So in this case, in order to be .500 with a record of 43-17 you would have to have 17 wins. But you don't have a .500 record, (17-17), you have a plus 26 more wins .500 record. So you 43-17 is .500 +26 wins.

Technically not true. Because they would be 41 games above 0-0. So they would be 41 games above .000
