Up until an ankle injury and some drama with Saints FO a couple of years ago he was a top 3 WR in the NFL.
Anyone know his contract status or health update? With the Saints being in cap hell think he might be available
at a discount after injury? Thoughts!

Definitely not sending anything but a 6 or 7. Not because he isn’t worth it but because the team needs young cheap talent.

Thomas is literally under contract and the the word out on Google is that the Saints have literally zero intention of trading him and the Bears don't have any picks to trade for him anyways and he isn't even expected to play right away anyways so in my opinion this is one of the most ignorant and unintelligent proposals for the Bears of this offseason because it can't be done and even if it could it shouldn't because you're literally mortgaging the future for the brand new gm building the roster through the draft for someone whomst might never ever return to being the talent he was prior to his injury that literally kept him out for a whole season after injury after a season with zero touchdowns.

Perfect

Let's get older and slower and more bloated contracts...and less draft picks!!!!

Bears want explosive playmakers, who is next Julio Jones? I wouldn’t even sign him if he was a free agent.

Thanks for your typical off base opinion. No surprise.

The opinion was literally backed by facts that obviousally you are dismissing probably because you are uncomfortable being vulnerable and admitting that the facts are prohibitive of your proposal re: Michael Thomas.

I cannot believe you guys are giving up on Dazz Newsome already. He was part of the 2021 Bears historic draft class.
It will be interesting to see what kind of hidden talent we may find on this team assuming we have good coaches and talent evaluators. There was an interesting article on internet today where the linebacker Joel I. was never given an opportunity to showcase his skills.

Not sure what the Bears are going to do now that Pace isn't around to dominate the middle round draft picks

Imagine if pace never traded up. Without giving away picks, you would imagine there would be at least 2-5 more contributors on the team. The bears would be set up nicely.

There was a Hoge and Janhs youtube video where they talked about the Rams not having a first round pick since Goff. They mentioned that the Rams have still had lots of draft picks every year (10+) because they always traded down. From their large amount of extra draft picks, the Rams ended up with a good amount of contributors.

Then they mentioned that the Bears are always on the low end of draft picks while also not having hardly any 1st round draft picks either.

Poles needs to bite the bullet, trade down a bit, get extra draft picks and rely on drafting talent (with some lower end free agents) than looking to fill holes with high end free agents. He should not be looking to sign any first wave free agents, especially not the first hour signings.

It is time for the coaches to teach up younger players to be adequate starters, seeing that the previous regime refused to teach anyone anything.
