One thing you are not taking into account is of 28 qualified QBs, Mitch has the lowest yards per attempt ie he is 28 out of 28 at 6.2 yards per game. He is also last in yards per completion So while his adjusted completion percentage is 6th in the NFL, a huge factor in that is the fact he has largely been dinking and dunking this year.

Lowest yards per attempt comes from the supplementary pass game where nagy calls multiple passes at or behind the line of scrimmage seemingly every possession.

Not sure one can say he is proving doubters wrong. Watson and Mahomes have their teams in playoff contention precisely because they didn't wait until the last 3 games to play well.

The object of this season was to make the playoffs and contend for a Super Bowl. Trubs has played well lately but he is also one of the main reasons why we find ourselves as an extreme long shot to make the playoffs.
