Nice necro bump. There are TONS of Bears fans in FL. Just go to any road game in Tampa, Jax, Miami, etc. I've been here for like 20 years and have never stopped being a Bears fan.

I did a 1080 on I-4 by downshifting to 5th gear and barely tapping the gas pedal while changing lanes. Thankfully, instincts made me go into the spin, rather than try to get out of it. Totally unscathed. But driving a beast of a RWD machine + rain is fucking dangerous. Ugh.

I miss 4WD. :D
Driving on I-4 period is dangerous af.

Not sure I understand the OP's point, nor why this was dug up from 7 years in the grave?

But I'm an IL guy born & raised Rockford and schooled in Peoria & Carbondale. Never stopped being a Bears fan after moving to TEN then FL. I ditched the cold, state taxes, and lack of year round sun to watch games at bars on patios and on the beach into fall & winter. Many Bears bars around here & 2 hr trips to TB & MIA have been a blast.

So - take that OP! ?? Unless his shitty Bears fan friends all jumped ship to the the laughably solid teams in MIA, Tampa, or JAX. Bwahahaha. (Maybe Tampa is a good choice now for a bandwagoner for the next year or 2)

Admittedly it is a hot mess down here sometimes. We will always have "Florida man"...

Just type "Florida man" into Google on any given day and there's some crazy dumbassery going on:

Florida Man

Yeah, whats up with that?

lol, nice bump. I suppose it's the great weather <less you part of the hurricane zone> and no state income tax.

In present day terms, peeps don't like wearing masks and want businesses opened up and that state thanks to Gov. DeSantis has been the most vocal in making that happen.

So has there been an influx of life long Tompa Bay fans now? (Excuse me.... Tampa Bay)

I have many friends and family who have moved out of Illinois during the last 30 years. All of them are still beloved fans of the Bears, except for ALL of my family and friends that moved away to Florida. It took my last friend who moved to Florida only 18 monhts to ditch the Bears. Its not like there are these awesome Florida NFl choices to replace the Bears with. What is it with moving to Florida that makes you ditch the Bears?

Sounds like your family and friends are a bunch of fair weather bitchasses. The kind you talk about on here. Did you disown them? I would! They sound like terrible people

Umm, Florida. Hard to explain so many things about that place. Congrats to the Chicagoans that have moved there and remain sane.

I have three brothers, one who has become a Packer fan, one who has become a Seahawk fan and one who has become a Falcons fan. I'll never change from my Bears.
Switching from the Bears to the Packers is inexcusable and an affront to everything that is decent.

Four years in FL. From TN. Bears fan since I was 6, and always will be!!!
Die hard Bears fan in west TN. Will never switch teams, but I sure wish Bears would put some winning teams on the field. Sunday ticket is expensive to keep watching loss after loss.

I made it in SWFL from spring of ‘04 to fall of ‘07. Couldn’t take the constant heat and humidity any more. I miss Nick & Stella’s a lot, I lived just around the corner from them. Friends(not bears fans, just friends) and I were there at least once a week. We had our own booth & waitress and got the same thing every time

Left Illinois for Georgia in 1983. Bears fan then, and Bears fan now, that will never change.

Still too hot. I’m a mechanic and none of the shops I worked in were climate controlled. They just had bay doors down the sides and giant fans to move hot air around. That’s what drove me away. And I’ll add a little more perspective. Right now in Denver it’s in the high 30’s and the sky has snow diarrhea, we have close to 18” in the backyard. I would much rather have this coupled with regular seasons(especially fall) than constant warm weather

Bear fan till the day I drop. There are a lot of Bears fans in Tampa/St Pete. Besides, considering the shit teams in Florida there isn't much temptation.

Didn't one just win the Super Bowl
