I don't think I've ever heard of the term "busting ass." I assume you mean farting, but I can also see it meaning taking a shit and fucking someone in the ass, both of which occur frequently in elevators. So I'm confused.

I haven't been to a buffet in a long time... but I don't remember doing this. Is that really a thing?

I'm not sure if this is a social norm or a job requirement, but I don't care for cashiers asking me if I found everything okay. It doesn't bother me and I know they're just trying to either be nice or do their job, but they can't really do anything to fix it if your answer is no. The couple of times I've actually said no, their response was like, "Oh, I'm sorry" and one gave me this look like "I just work here" and they kind of shrugged and didn't really say anything.

I just say yes and move on with my day. But if they didn't ask me at all, I'd be completely okay with it.

The need to tip whenever you're picking up carryout.

Why would you ever tip when picking up carry out? Not tipping is the main reason to order carry out...
I'm not saying I have -- they always have a tip line on the receipt.

I've never tipped picking up carryout, why would you tip a cashier?

I don't think this is a social norm, I think you've been conned

If it's pizza or Chinese or anyplace where carryout is a big part of their business, hell no. If it's a real restaurant where carryout is not typical and requires special effort the waitress has to put the order together, that takes time and gets a couple bucks. Not 20% like we had a table, but something for the effort.

The only place I've seen them ask this then legit try to help you out if you say you didn't is Aldi.

I don't think I've tested it out at enough places to know haha. But the couple of times I mentioned happened at Whole Foods, and they're usually very helpful there.

For me, if I needed something, I'd ask before I even got to the cashier. Asking at that point seems like a pain imo haha.
