Possibly. I could see him playing LG and kicking Long to RT. Lots of options. But really thinking about it more maybe Brandin Cooks was the guy. I only mentioned Martin because in the day or so leading up the draft and even up to the Bears pick there was some chatter around Martin and the Bears.

And you would be correct. Considering we are thin at WR, Ebron is a hybrid stretch the field TE, and it makes perfect sense. A two TE set with Bennett and Ebron, with BMARSH and Alshon at WR and Forte out of the backfield would give an DC an extra headache to deal with. It also would have given us depth at a thin position.

He never was gonna go safety at 14. No one was good enough for the value. Ebron actually could be anywhere 3-6 on the list. I assume 6 since we really don't need him, but would be sweet to have.
