He handed the keys to his offense to Bill freaking Lazor and watched them score more than they ever had under Nagy. Yes against bad defenses, but it's not like Nagy never faced a bad defenses.

Make all the excuses you want, but Bill freaking Lazor scored more than Nagy ever has.
Nagy had a broken offense, Lazor came in started making play calls and that offense with Trubisky lit it up.....Nagy took it back over and they pooped all over themselves again....

Anyone with a brain can see the defense carriesd this team, are fucking serious lol?

People are forgetting how awful the offense has looked at times the past few seasons. I'm not entirely sure how that's possible, but they have a gift tha's for sure.

I still FEEL all the angst from the sorry run blocking scheme, weird play calls, jump balls to the smallest WRs, 5 wide with no TEs in on goal line plays....and scoreless 3rd Quarters.

Because lazor is a professional and solid OC. Nagy is a camp counselor that draws up some unique plays, but can’t develop an identity, develop players, or call a cohesive game. Most of the time he calls the dumbest/worst play calls and then doubles down in similar situations after the fact. He’s incapable of learning or adapting

And that should be all your need to know. From about 16 points a game, to about 36 a game for a stretch and all the way back down.

Nagy has 3 quality wins in 3 years

He doesn’t put his players in the best position to win.

He doesn’t scheme plays to his players strengths.

His game management is atrocious.

He can’t make in-game adjustments. Look at the 3rd quarter production. It’s criminal!

He refuses to admit his mistakes and refuses to learn from them.

Nagy should let lazor call plays but he won’t. He needs to focus on all aspects of the game. He looks like a spazz on the sidelines calling plays. All the best play callers are calm, cool, and collected when they’re calling plays. Stoic even. Nagy looks like a kid on Xmas that has to pee but wants to open all his gifts first

And that's one of the biggest strikes against him. It took him forever to give up play calling, and then he took it back despite the fact the offense was finally working. Then he broke it again.

He doesn't even have the ability to build off what is working.

I honestly can't understand why anyone can't see how incapable he is. How is this an argument?

Offensive rankings as the playcaller and offensive HC 21st,29th,26th.
Defensive rankings 3rd, 8th,11th

It's pretty obvious, that all Nagy does is drag the team down with shitty offense. The team record falls below the defensive ranking each season but he is unable to drag it down as low as his inept offense.

The narrative that Trubisky was the anchor dragging down and drowning Nagy, ignores that he was actually worse with his chosen replacement, Nick Foles who verbal dressed Nagy down for his shittiness on national TV. How bad do you have to be to have a career back up getting in your shit in front of everyone, like HOFer Tom Brady yelling at his snotnosed OC. In fact, when have you ever seen a QB telling his HC how bad he is at getting plays in like Foles did to Nagy?

The guy was out playcalled so badly by a career assistant that he took the duties bad out of embarrassment and fucked it up again and has announced his intentions to do it again this next season. Have fun with that.

Fans have cited the fact that Nagy can't succeed because of Trubisky....all Nagy's offense needed was an average QB...

Well, statistically, Trubisky has been Nagy's best QB. We were assured Foles was going to be the average QB Nagy needed.

He now has Dalton and a young stud QB he probably had a major hand in selecting....

If Nagy doesn't start to turn this offensive boat around it is time to move on.

He was on the hot seat because he was an offensive minded HC that fielded a terrible offense.
If the offense is still terrible with Dolton and Fields then he has got to go. Simple as that

Yes, because the Head Coach isn’t also the head coach of the defense. ??

We all know Nagy had little influence on the defense. Nagy was the OC for all intents and purposes. Defense was not his responsibility.

We can pretend that Nagy was made the defense all we want, but the actual facts are well known about who is running what on this team.

This offense needs to be top 10 in 2022 or he’s a failure

The only place he was on the hot seat was the minds of some Bear fans...
Don't forget in the minds of some of the talking heads on sports shows. They helped fuel this delusion that Nagy can't coach. As was said before, took a crap offense and kept it from having a losing season 3 years running, made the playoffs two of those. If we had Fangio as DC all three years it would have been 3 years of winning records.

The fact that HC Nagy hasn't fired OC Nagy is a fireable offense.

Nagy is a good guy, who can be a good motivator. He needs to be the head coach and not be a game day signal caller/OC. He's the leader of the team, including the defense. Having his offense is fine, but he has no feel for the game. Didn't he call a game with only 3 running plays and the rest were passes? Need OC who sees successful plays and runs them over and over and over again until the opponent figures out how to stop it. That isn't Nagy.
