I know this voluntary OTA but one would think that 'new' guard and others would show up just meet everyone and get yourself familiarized with the new scheme and coaching staff. Of course none of us know if he/they have personal reason for not participating.

Do we know he hasn't been around Halas Hall for workouts and whatnot? OTA's is more 7 on 7 with very little of value for lineman. Sure it would be great if he were there, but it is much more valuable, and still minimal at that for veterans, for skill position players.

I heard he was depressed, has a fear of flying, and a history of injury
Didn't aerophobic Eddie Goldman miss mini camp, walk to training camp barefoot and still show up late and overweight one year? Or was that me after Little 500 at IU?

I just hope he is in shape when he gets here.

Well with their stress on football first guys, if he isn't and if they missed on vetting him it would be an indictment on their evaluation process.

I don't think it will be an issue.

I wonder why Tennessee decided to let him go. Aparently, they had the cap space. Maybe his history of injuries?

They only have 10 mil on cap space currently and he’s at a 7 mil cap hit this year so it may be cap related. ?‍♂️
