I wonder why Tennessee decided to let him go. Aparently, they had the cap space. Maybe his history of injuries?
So they could draft their guard replacement at #11, apparently. Haha short arms!

Do we know he hasn't been around Halas Hall for workouts and whatnot? OTA's is more 7 on 7 with very little of value for lineman. Sure it would be great if he were there, but it is much more valuable, and still minimal at that for veterans, for skill position players.
Linemen can definitely benefit from these run throughs, team timing is born in these drills.

Remember last year when Ryan Poles talked about the type of guys that we want in the building?

"We want guys that love football. Guys that excited about practice that have at practice that's the guys were want in the building."

So what type of guy is Nate Davis by skipping OTAs... Oh he's the kind of guy Mike Vrabel was fine letting go.

My guy says that he had a family issue. Feel free to amend this statement at your earliest convenience.

As a journalist, have you researched why Davis didn't resign with the Titans? I did

You're correct and while I want to be excited about him coming over, I hope it isn't Lucas Patrick 2.0.

He must feel pretty secure about his place on the team.

Maybe he shouldn't...

Just to remind everyone, these practices are voluntary.

While I find it a bit alarming one of the only new guys on the offense isn't out there, I don't think it will make much of a difference in september.

It is voluntary.

As you said, however, it would benefit new people to be there.

Will it make a big difference to the team? Probably not.

Will it make a difference for the player? Maybe.

Davis had a chance here to show his new coaches how excited he is to be here and how anxious he is to contribute.

Maybe that's exactly what he did.
