You're right. But it's not by design. Most of the players that would get you anything in a trade had awful years and still have a year left on their contracts. Do you trade them now at nearly the worst possible time or wait and hope they have a better year and look to be busy at the deadline? Either way, they are fucked.

The problems with the offense have been apparent for 3 years and the front office does nothing to fix it. They just keep hoping a bunch of veteran players will change.
