Love had a better first start then Mahomeds, Luck, Herbert, Allen etc.
He was more Randy Wright than Aaron Rodgers.

For Packer fans, there's little to love from the heir to Rodgers

I hope they both stay just so the Bears FO can see how far behind they put this franchise.

Lol you didn't reply. He had a better first game than Mahomes, Luck, Herbert, and Allen.

Rodgers didn't have as good a look until his third season.

Love looked very promising. I hear he had an 80% completion pct. and a TD in the second half.

Fields looked much worse by far, in alot more time.

"LOL's"

One scoring drive, 58% completion pct. QBR 32.5, 69.5 passer rating. This is with two full off seasons studying behind a HOF quarterback, a top ten defense playing out of their minds, Davonte Adams and crew, killer running backs, an actual offensive line. Full week practicing with the one's. At home. A lot of advantages to score only seven points. The eye test says, "no."

The punter's leg was probably about to fall off

Love had 300+ total yards, and a TD. His completion pct on the second half was over 80%. Lafleur didn't call a good game, he didn't let Love loose until the 4th quarter.

Love's rookie offseason was abbreviated.

Our O line was missing nearly all of its starters and still is.

Love only had two days of practice with the ones.

Love had a decent game. The O as a whole didn't score often, Lafluer kept trying to run.

You are aware, Fields has had numerous performances worse then that this season? Are you saying Luck, Mahomes, Herbert, and Allen's first games "didn't pass the eye test"?

On the one drive his passer rating was 140 or 150, QBR above 35. On the one TD pass his completion percentage was 100%. All the overthrown, under thrown, and not on the same page balls were on Lafleur, who let down Love, the Packers and the fans in general. Goodiecrust gave him a stern talking to. Love >>> Allen, Luck, Mahomes and Johnny Unitas. Those injured linemen (who were never holding) were horrible and Love was running for his life until "The One Drive," as it's now widely known in the NFL lexicon.

Maybe the Packers defense can play twice as well, and limit the opposition to six points in Love's next start, he's clearly got what it takes to score seven points.

Love had few misplaced passes but are biggest issue was stalling drives trying to continuously stick with the run.

Our o did much better in the 4th, when Lafluer let Love loose. Over 80% completion pct. and a TD pass.

You realize Justin Fields has scored 0 points in a game after an actual full week of practice?

Jordan Love will be great. His first start was better then Mahomes, Luck, Herbert, Allen, etc. Rodgers never played as good in his first two seasons.

The Packers defensive players >>The Bears. The Packers offense players>>>>>the Bears. The Packers coaches>>>>>>>the Bears

But sure, compare Fields worst rookie season start under Matt Nagy with Loves’ SEVEN POINTS, in his first start, in his second year, with every advantage under the sun.

Yes, the Packers are better at all those places, I agree.

Fields has had numerous games worse then Love's only start. (Decent)

Love himself had a decent game. It's not his fault Lafluer kept stalling the O by constantly running. When he actually let Love get in a rhythm and throw, Love had his best quarter.

300+ yards a td and a pick. 80% completion pct in the second half. Solid showing, the injury riddled o was stalling mostly because of the lack of run game.

Love didn't have every advantage. Two days of practice with the ones? And he still had a better first start than Luck, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, etc.

yah that's when most inept offenses struggling for 3 quarters start to figure it out cause the D is allowing moar of the underneath stuff to protect a 2+ td lead <prevent the quick score>.

jay cutler made a living to the tune of 100 million by stat padding in the 4th.

pack success in the playoffs will dictate Rodger's fate for sure. they are surely going to get homefield throughout repeat. If they CHOKE AGAIN AARON WALKS.

I can see some team like the Steelers or Broncos go all in and offer Rodgers 50 million a year, 2 year contract in an attempt to win it all.

Better first start the Allen, Luck, Herbert, Mahomes etc.

Let's take a closer look at Jordan Love's first Packers' start and the above statement.

Packers points scored per game, 2021:
3, 35, 30, 27, 25, 24, 24, 24, 7*, 17, 34, 36

*Jordan Love start: 7 points
Average non-Jordan Love starts: 25.4 points
Point differential: -17.6

First Starts
Mahomes: Chiefs scored 27 points in a win
Allen: Bills scored 20 points in a loss
Herbert: Chargers scored 31 points in a loss
Luck: Colts scored 21 points in a loss
Love: Packers scored 7 points in a loss

Average points scored by QB's who did "worse" than Love in their first start: 24.8 points
Point differential: -17.8

So Love is two touchdowns and a field goal worse than the Packers' average score in 2021, and two touchdowns and a field goal worse than the above four actual NFL franchise quarterbacks whose first starts were supposedly not as good as Love's.

Positive:Second year player Love, in his first start, scored more points than their HOF starter did in week one.
Negative: Packer's scored 17 plus points less than their season average.
Questionable: According to this thread, Love's first start was better than Mahomes, Allen, Hebert, and Luck's first starts
Consolation: Love's first start, in his second year, was more points than two of rookie Justin Fields' Matt Nagy coached starts.

Analysis:That fourth quarter drive for a touchdown is looking lonelier and lonelier.

The Chiefs were still playing their base D even until 00:

I don't think that has anything to do with it. I think GB will feel validated by winning a SB with Rodgers and trading him away for as much as possible.

Then Love starts a season, if he isn't good, we target a QB high in the very good 23' QB draft.

Love or that guy will be a HOFer.

So…

1. No response as to how Love’s seven points was better than your list of actual NFL quarterbacks in their first start (it wasn’t…those guys put up an average 24 points)

2. Packers will win the SB (maybe but probably not)

3. Packers will trade Erin for a boatload of first round picks (They will try as hard as they can to keep him in GB)

4. Love will be a hall of famer (based on “The OneDrive,” apparently)

5. And if Love is not good, the guy they draft in ‘23 will be a hall of famer (drops magical thinking for a second, then picks it up again and doubles down)

No one is giving up multiple first round picks for Rodgers. If he isn’t playing for GB next year, he will dictate where he will be. For that reason alone, Packers have no leverage. Plus, Rodgers will want a new contract meaning his new team won’t have to give up much at all. It is in the Packers’ best interest to keep Rodgers happy at all costs until he simply doesn’t want to play anymore.
