Will the TNF game be on Fox or NFLN?

Looking forward to Foles vs Brady part 2 next week but I need to start thinking of ways to watch the game if it’s on NFLN lol. Midterms will finally be behind me for a little bit on Thursday so I’m really looking forward to kicking back and enjoying a huge Bears game (well hopefully I’ll enjoy it lol)

Last I checked, it's on FOX.

If you can't watch the game on cable, you can always google "NFL streams" and pick from a plethora of options to watch games on other sites.

I tried “NFL Bytes” or whatever the new name for r/nflsfreams is but it looks like that got taken down since I couldn’t even access the page with a VPN and adblocker. Kinda just assumed the NFL finally got its act together and took ‘em all down lol.

Pirate streams have been around for every type of sporting event for over a decade now.

The internet is not built for private companies to dictate what people can do.... at least not yet.

Except it kind of is. Ever since net neutrality got butchered what do you think ISPs have been doing?

My buddy had his entire internet shut down at his apartment after pirating the Mandolorian last fall. Well that’s what he tells me at least lol.

Yeah, that can happen if you torrent copywritten material using your personal IP address like a fucking moron.

If you don't realize it.

What you just said to me sounded like:

"My buddy drove his car to a Target, parked in front of security cameras, flashed his ID to the camera, didn't conceal his face, then stole a bunch of shit and drove home... and they came and arrested him."

Yeah there are stupid pirates, just like any other category of humans.

To be fair to him, he claims he used a VPN, which I’m sure he didn’t because there’s no way they could have gotten around his VPN to his real IP address that quickly.

You mean unless they summoned his VPN provider with a DMCA summons for his IP.

Content creators rarely go after the people downloading though. Normally content uploaders or hosters.

I used to work for a usenet provider back in the day and had to deal with takedowns all the time.

If you're using a VPN (again not like a fucking moron), they have no way to get your real IP off the traffic.

All they know is traffic from the VPN server is doing something they don't like.

They send letters to the VPN saying "You have a user pirating Mandalorian."

The VPN says "Oh that's awful, give us their name and address so we can notify them to stop."

The copyright owner says "I don't know their name or address, I only know they are using your VPN."

The VPN says "Oh that's awful, my business model is that I sell internet privacy so I do not log my users activity."

The copyright owner says "Well I need you identify this user."

The VPN says "I can't do that, but if you know who they are I can terminate their membership."

The copyright owner says "I don't know who they are."

The VPN says "Neither do I... that's my fucking business."

And on and on it goes.

The entire business model of a VPN is they don't log your user activity.

So when a summons comes... they can play these games.

I imagine with a ton of money and effort you could get a case to SCOTUS to abolish VPN providers or force them out of business by making them log user activity and turn over DMCA requests.

yeah it is illegal to download something like the Mandolorian for instance without paying for it through Disney+ but you are right they usually only go after the host form what I understand. Why is that? Just not worth the content creator' s time to go after everyone I guess?

I also own a VPN provider. Go look in the off topic sections I have posted deals before.
