All of this fake SHIT around Jenkins started with that prison bitch wannabe, Kap.

Fuck that guy. Though it was only limited time during preseason whenever Mustipher wasn't stepping on Jenkins feet, Jenkins looked like a man amongst boys out there and was definitively the Bears best lineman.

Jenkins is a young cost controlled talent with all signs around him pointing upwards, while the Bears have a young QB who needs all of the protection he can get.

You don't trade that away for a future pick that will have a depreciated value on a maybe someday 2023 prospect, in contrast to the talent they likely already have with Jenkins.

Not to mention Jenkins can kick out to OT if needed.

For the love of GOD stop buying into prison bitch media drama and FAKE BOT accounts in that dumpster fire known as TWITTER.

They're blowing smoke up your ass.

If Mustipher and Patrick start what then?

And why did they sign Leatherwood to fill a position that Jenkins is very capable of filling.

The Bears are undermining Jenkins at every turn despite him being the best offensive lineman on the roster.

We all know Jenkins is probably going to be a stud that transcends scheme.

But why don't the Bears see it this way?

Jenkins has some Quintin Nelson type of mauler in him.

He should start at RT, or should start at RG or should be the primary backup OT.

Leatherwood shouldn't even be on the 53 there should be a WR or CB in his spot.

Jenkins as the swing is fine but here we are with some media charade about he's done so well and we like him despite how well he's balled out.
Depth chart came out. You may want to read it.

The Bears are undermining Jenkins at every turn by…..playing him at RG in training camp, preseason, and listing him as starting RG on the depth chart.

Hard to believe Reiff isn’t the swing tackle if Borom goes down.

He should be but there's reports that he may not be ready to snap the ball because of his hand. If he's not snapping the ball they're moving him to guard.

They act

The coaching staff may talk about the best five guys, but the best five guys would be Jenkins at RT given how bad Borom has looked in pass protection. We all know who the best five guys are and the best five doesn't include either Mustipher or Borom ahead of Jenkins and yet that's exactly what's gearing up to happen.

What Bears fans see and what we as fans want are completely different than what Ryan Poles is gearing up to do with Jenkins.

They're going to start Patrick at center, move Mustipher to right guard and have Borom at right tackle. They then went out and signed Alex Leatherwood to be the swing tackle. Why in the hell do they sign Leatherwood to be a swing offensive tackle guy? Jenkins can fill that role just fine.

They're putting things in place to downgrade Jenkins' role on the roster. This entire thing has been a charade to get him back on the team and involved so they can pump his trade value as an offensive tackle and a guard. Meanwhile Poles has been working behind the scenes to move on from Jenkins.

It doesn't matter how good he looks to all of us, he doesn't fit the zone blocking system that they are running and that's exactly the pattern of actions they've been following from the beginning of OTAs. They want athletes with better movement than what Jenkins offers and so they've been adding guys that fit that profile. Leatherwood, Carter, Thomas, Patrick, Mustipher, they have been working those guys into the system.

They've been shopping Jenkins and undermining him as a player with the Schofield and Reiff signing. All of their actions say they don't like Jenkins. This week they're already talking about moving Patrick to right guard if he's not ready to snap the ball. Why are they saying they're going to put Patrick at guard when Jenkins has held down the spot just fine by all signs?

It doesn't matter WHAT we think, it's what they're doing....

Kap is far and away my least favorite host on chicago sports radio.

It's funny because any time a caller calls him out for being an idiot all he has to respond back is "You're insane".

Then some caller called him out on that, saying that making fun of mental health isn't a joke. Kap cried like a lil bitch.

To humor the thread. Even if they wanted to move him why would they trade Teven now? Let him start and play well for a number of weeks to show his chops and health and get twice what you would right now. I believe they want him to excel and be the right G for a decade but if that's not the case, this is not the time to move on.

I have to be honest your type of thinking is what has made this organization struggle to have a good team. Competition at EVERY position drives every individual to play their best and leads to quality depth.

I'm just saying that you are jumping to conclusions, plain and simple.... Jenkins is currently listed as the starting RG

This staff is the first in a very long time that has not allowed draft status or salary determine how the starting line up will be set.

Riley Reiff is the vet and has played Left and Right tackle, but he is been placed as the swing tackle right now. A fifth round rookie has earned that position on the left.

Schofield was a vet that has played Guard, but he was cut because Jenkins played well....

Alex Leatherwood is a project and depth at this point, nothing more.

They must have seen good things. This is the new regime—they WANT to give younger players, including rookies, a chance to play to see what they can do. Reiff isn't the answer, he's a stop-gap, depth, a guy they can plug in and he'll be okay. Borom is also okay, maybe a bit more, maybe decent, maybe good. They want to see if he's better than that. If not, then we need to draft a RT early next year, to go with a WR early as well, in the 1st/2nd rounds.

Yep, you nailed it, sir. "We're going to start the best 5 guys" is coach-speak, nothing more. They're starting the guys they think, or at least hope, will develop into their starting OL'men moving forward. Borom may or may not pan out at RT. But if he doesn't, they'll just draft & develop someone else. They see Jenkins as a RG, and that's where he'll stay unless/until he demonstrates he's not a good-enough RG. Reiff will play only if/when they have to play him because one of the younger guys isn't working out...

I think leatherwood starts at some point this year due solely to run blocking skills.

Leatherwood and Jenkins on one side would be stout but only if he can hold down pass pro better than what he’s proven this far.

Just not sure if Boroms ceiling is super high.

This team really needs our tackles to really pan out bc of having so many needs.

Bears management aren’t retards, if it’s as obvious to us fans that Jenkins played like an absolute stud with two days experience at guard then they should realize it too, right?

No way in hell Patrick starts at guard, if you’re not healthy enough to snap a ball, you’re not healthy enough to play any offensive line position. Not to mention take the spot of the best lineman on our team????

What do you guys think the ceiling for Braxton is?? Where does he finish the season in rankings amongst LT’s?

I hope he’s not just our best LT, I hope he’s the future stud LT! I would think he’s got a good chance bc it’s near impossible for a 5th round rookie from a community college to start week 1 in the NFL!
