Isn't a blister what kept him out of the '08 All-Star Game and put Marmol in?

Nah..... If he cared about winning, he would have stayed with the Yanks who would have offered more money.

And yes it is why he was kept out of the att star game.

I'd love to see Blake Parker get a shot.

It isnt about winning with him. He would have signed for a lot more money that was offered by the yanks and sox if he wanted to win. this is a comfort place for him where he can feel idolized by the fans. Do you think the fans would stroke him in NY or on the South Side like the cubs fans do? Doubtful. He chose to be a big fish in a small pond rather than being a goldfish in a shark tank in NY.

It isn't about the money either. It was all about his family and god for bid if a player was actually comfortable in a city. His ego doesn't need to be stroked either, all he has to do is check his bank account and his ego is stroked. Wood wants a future in the Cubs organization and he isn't sure how much he has left in that right arm of his so god for bid that he take less money and play for the Cubs. He can choose to accept a trade to a contender or not.....that is his right that he has earned.

he's about as fragile as peavy is for the Sox. maybe even worse. plus his upside doesn't match that of peavy's. not sure why the Cubs even picked him back up.
