I’ve considered taking one for the team and becoming a Packer fan.
It would ensure that the Packers suck for decades at a time, thus saving the great Bears fans of continued misery.
But hate the Packers so much that I’d rather just keep rolling through this abusive Bears relationship. It keeps us strong.

No. For me the whole point is to live and die with your team. I look at like a family. I was born in and have lived in Chicago my whole life. I can't even imagine rooting for another team.
I have lived in Ca for most of my life and the wife simply can not understand why I am a Chicago fan and not a niner fan. I just tell her that she doesn't get it. I will die a Chicago fan. Just not a Sox fan...lol

Might have been discussed, but would you guys ever completely abandon ship if the beloved continues to eat shit or eats more shit than they currently do? For example, if the Bears traded up in the 1st round for a punter, at that point, would you tap out or would you continue to stir the vomit and pretend it's oatmeal? I was close to tapping it during the Emery/Trestman years and I feel like I'm close to a point that I want to turn my back, but I'm still here hoping Pace/Nagy could pull off a miracle.
If you have to ask that there is something wrong....

I love the White Sox and endeavor to not miss a game, but I don't watch baseball if its not my team. Not even the playoffs really. Exact opposite of football. My enjoyment of Carlos Rodon's no-no was intrinsically linked to the uniform he was wearing.
It's almost as if people can have different opinions on which sport is more compelling, beautiful, and strategic.

A real man would make his wife submit to being a Bears fan.

I always wonder about people who "root for" teams already in 1st. What's the fun in that? You wait until they're a contender, and claim to be a fan.....then what?

Yeah, I mean, the hard times make the triumphs so much sweeter. I've been a Cubs fan my whole life(I like baseball, but nowhere near as much as football). Their world series win was one of the happiest moments of my life.

A Bears Super Bowl would be even sweeter, both because football is my absolute favorite sport and also because only about half my friends are Cubs fans. But we're all Bears fans.

If they brought in Aaron Rodgers to play QB, yes. I would probably stop caring. He's a great player, but I'd feel the same if the cocky flopper LeBron went to the Bulls.

100% just my opinion but those 2 guys are arrogant chode tools despite being HOF talent. Their attitude paired with being on the rival teams = distain.

Oh it's not a protest thing for me; I couldn't care less about what the owners do or who kneels. I just got bored with it, and the Bears being in endless mediocrity doesn't help. Still like it more than baseball and basketball but not compelling enough to keep my interest unless the Bears are particularly exciting.

I find soccer a far more entertaining game, regardless of rooting interests.

Sure, when you go to the fat angry meatballs who still wear game jerseys in their 50s and yell at the tv in bars forum.

I love when people use their personal definition of what they think a fan is to trash others.

That's not how it works.

I jumped on the bandwagon with the Super Bowl Shuffle and what a long strange trip it's been.

Bury me in the blue and orange.

I'm on a minor off season hiatus because of this crap recently. Things will probably all change come fall.

And what’s wrong with that ? I’m a 60 something with a collection of Bears’ jerseys one of which I wear while yelling at the Bears on tv. If there were no Bears, there’s always college football -Go Irish! -and Nascar. I do wish pro sports would stay out of politics. We get bombarded with that too much as it is.

Wearing player jerseys as an adult is a little weird but Bears branded merchandise does look very good. That "C" is way classier than basically any other pro sports logo, you can wear that anywhere and not look like a manchild.
