Would you pull a Jared Goff type trade for Zach Wilson/Justin Fields at #3?

• Picks No. 5, 100 in the 2017 draft

Now, obviously, moving from 20 to #3 would cost less. Lets say a second rounder less.

So it would be.....Our first rounder, 2nd, and 3rd rounder this year. Our first rounder and 3rd rounder next year.

The difference is cap hit.

Wilson/Fields would cost you 8-9m a year. While watson would cost you 4-5x that. That spare 30m could net you two top FA's.

Yes. In a heartbeat. If Champ Kelly gets hired as a GM, that nets the Bears a 3rd this year and next, yes? That would mean the trade would cost this years 2nd and next years 1st. I would roll the dice on that all day.

I would feel more confident in a new gm making bold moves like that. I don’t want dead men walking making trades like that. If pace makes that move then there is a house cleaning the following year then you are a. Limiting new gm with picks b. New gm might not like the qb pick c. New hc not interested in qb that you sold the farm for.
