Why isn’t he mentioned here more as a free agent?

He’ll be 28 in March.

Averages 9 sacks a year for 7 years.

Never had less than 8 in a season.

Has more sacks than Mack over the last 4 years.

I admittedly am just looking at stats here and have never really watched him live. But on paper he seems like a good fit right?

I've mentioned him a few times. I'd sign one of him or davenport and then a lesser name like omenihu from SF as well at DE. Then sign payne and draft Carter

Davenport’s injury history and lack of sacks worries me about him. He’s more of a one year type signing IMO. The talent is there…

Ngakoue is really bad against the run. That's why he doesn't get bigger contracts because he is really consistent in getting to the passer.

Dawaune Smoot is an interesting player who has solid production in limited snaps the last few years. Won't be a priority for JAX with Allen and the #1 pick Walker there.

I was a huge fan of Davenport coming out, but his value has to be depressed by injuries. Just not proven he can stay healthy.

And if they have Payne and Carter or similar on the inside that is going to change what the EDGE players look like. QBs have so much room to step up the pocket this year, even decent rushes do nothing.

Great fit and bears absolutely need to go after him. He’s also a force fumbling machine. Him and Payne would be a good start in fixing the DL. Maybe even go get Larry O on the cheap. MAYBE draft Carter as well, but I’d still prefer a trade down

I did a few weeks ago.....non splashy names...production at a decent price.

No way do I want a 28 year old FA who’s been on 5 teams. He’s on the downside of his career and there is a reason he never got re-signed by any of his 4 previous teams

If that's our offseason, I'll join all the madlads in hating Poles.
Yeah all those offensive moves are awful other than skoronski. Then having a LB likely be your highest paid FA signing would probably make me vomit. No reason to sign a LB to a big contract

If you sign Yannick then you probably want to use him as a pass rush specialist rather than on run downs. You probably also need a bigger WILL who can cover for him in the run game.

Sub 250lb DE, who isn't much of a run defender. I don't imagine he'd be a great fit for what Eberflus likes. Similar size to Muhammad, but hasn't shown the run D ability that Muhammad has in the past. A pass rush specialist likely

Colts have still been decent run defense even with him. Bears focus should be the pass rush. He's likely a short term deal until you draft his replacement. Just improve LB behind him

Yannick is a Robert Quinn replica, just a younger version. They even utilize the same exact jump chop signature pass rush maneuver.

Younger Quinn:

Suppose we sign Payne and Yannick in the offseason; at our current draft position, I would think that Anderson is the better choice than Carter.

He can be a bully on the edge but isnt going to be the person who can chase a QB out of his comfort zone.

For some reason, Yannick just bounces around. Jax to Minn to Baltimore to Las Vegas to Indy.

He’s one of 5 players in NFL history to get 8 sacks or more his first 7 seasons.

He’s doing something right.

I did bring him up to see why he’s moved around so much.

He’s 27 currently

The problem is Yannick and Anderson are both REs as Yannick's run D sucks and Anderson is great against the run but probably a bit undersized to play LE full time.
